Volunteer your time to bring hope, joy, and connection to seniors in our community.
If you know of someone that lives in Wheatland, Citrus Height, or Placer County over the age of 65 and in a situation that has created a void that needs to be filled in order to change their outlook on life, they may be a candidate for a wish. The first step is to fill out the wish nomination form. All wishes are reviewed monthly and please note that not all wishes may be granted due to feasibility.
Each month our Wish Granting Committee will review wish nominations. Based on the needs and finances, you will be contacted if we can grant the wish request. Approved wishes may take several months to grant.
No, we all have limited life spans and everyone deserves to feel like they matter. Please review our wish granting criteria by clicking here.
Currently, Silver Wishes Inc. only granting wishes to seniors age 65 and over that reside in Wheatland, Citrus Heights or Placer County.
Silver Wishes will only be a one time gift. They may be in the form of something that can help mobility (sorry, no cars), it may be a room make over to brighten a living situation. It may be bringing a loved one to visit. Or it may be an experience that would light up their life. Silver Wishes will not be given in the form of cash; however gift cards may be an option. Silver Wishes will not heal someone of their ailments or physical conditions, but it may be an opportunity to change their outlook while coping with their situation. Silver Wishes does not grant wishes for cars, cash, housing, structural improvements on homes, treatment for animals, or medical/dental procedures.
We are always in need of donations to help make wishes a reality. We will be having fundraisers throughout the year as well and would appreciate your support. If you are interested in volunteering with our organization, please click here.
