Stephanie has always been passionate about spreading kindness and inspires others to do so with the children’s book she authored, The Happiest Birthday Ever. Inspired by her time volunteering with Make-A-Wish Foundation, she started Silver Wishes, a nonprofit bringing hope and making a difference in the lives of seniors by granting one-time WOW wishes. Currently she is on the board of directors for the Lincoln Community Foundation, volunteers for Seniors First and has experience organizing school fundraisers and special events.
Clark Osterhout, Treasurer
Clark is grateful to be associated with West Capital Wealth Management (“WCWM”) as a Financial Consultant. Prior to opening a private practice with WCWM, he was a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones for over 8 years. Prior to entering the financial services industry, he was Vice-President of Sales for a Fortune 500 company, two Silicon Valley start-ups and Vice-President of Investments for a major commercial real estate firm. Clark has enjoyed serving in the community as President of the Rotary Club of Lincoln and the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.
Garin Clyma, Secretary
As an estate planning Attorney, Garin has a special place in his heart for helping seniors. He is a graduate of U.C. Santa Barbara and Lincoln Law School of Sacramento, and has practiced law in Placer County for the last ten years. As a small business owner, he is thrilled to bring his expertise to Silver Wishes to provide opportunities to one of our most underserviced communities. Garin lives in Lincoln with his wife and three young daughters.
Janet Osterhout, Board Member
Janet comes to our board with a degree in child development and family relations, as well as a teaching credential. Janet has volunteered in various organizations including Little League, Pop Warner football and was an active fundraiser for the PTA. She has recently retired from working in retail. Janet is passionate about helping people present the best version of themselves. She has assisted her husband with various Rotary activities and fundraisers in Lincoln. Janet looks forward to helping seniors in Placer County.
Suzanne Bristow, Board Member
Suzanne has a lifelong history of event planning since her mother was a caterer. After having children, she worked as a pastor’s administrative assistant, women’s ministries director and special needs teacher assistant. Currently she focuses on assisting in fundraising and event planning for nonprofits. In her free time, she enjoys snow skiing, hiking, and all water sports with her family and dogs in Lake Tahoe. Suzanne is looking forward to helping fulfill wishes for local Placer County seniors.
Dan Barbee, Board Member
As a California native, Dan earned a Master’s of Science from California State University Northridge. He was honored to serve as Reconnaissance Marine in the United States Marine Corps. Dan brings more than 35 years of leadership experience in business operations with most of his years in the defense and intelligence industries. Currently he is the President of Always Best Care in Northern California where he serves Seniors by providing the highest quality care to hundreds of seniors every week.
Shirley Heritage, Board Member
Shirley is a retired Police and Fire Dispatch Supervisor and now uses her free time to serve and volunteer in the local community. She currently serves as President of the American Legion Auxiliary and Secretary for the Lincoln Veterans Memorial Coalition. She is looking forward to helping the Silver Wishes organization grow and impact the lives of more seniors.
